Ok, I did drive it out of the garage, but other than that, this is the fiirst time this car has moved with the new (to me) engine and tranny, or at all under its own power in a long, long time. I kept it short, since it has no exhaust, and the tag is expired...

  • I think it's a vj11/14 hybrid, if I remember right. It's the same one Mitch had, anyway...

  • Yeah, it sounds pretty bad, in a not good way. The belt going to the water pump is squealing on and off, it has zero exhaust past the turbo, and it is idleing high, but it seems to run smooth, and the tranny shifted well, so I'm happy so far. BTW, the engine and tranny are out of the gtx that Mitch Ruscin (upgtx) rolled. Thanks Mitch.

  • Nice vid. This was one of my first cars when I was young (my second car actually). It's a rare care.

  • Fuckin A bro ! I used to have one of these back in '99 ... Car sipped gas and was a blast to drive.

  • Still sad to think about what happened to mitch's car. Was a nice one. Is that a stock VJ14 or did you go bigger?

  • HELL YEAH ! lol clean 323 man

  • it looks like my car :D

  • @2legit89 i had a 240, and one of these, my gtx was in a shit state though, and was an 87. It is VERY hard to find one of these in good condition as they only ever built 5000, and be perpared to spend thousands making it right. slower stock than the 240 but just felt much more fun to drive, like a go kart

  • lol hell ya...i already knew why u were smiling it looks like a fun car i;ve never herd of these some guy wanted to trade me this car for my 240

  • yes!!! very high quality recording...long live the gtx. we need more GTX's on youtube. congrats.
