  • @bsntechdotcom Do yo have a source to this study? Anaerobic bact. out populate the aerobic population namely rhizobium bact. (an imprtant nitrogen source in organic growing) if tea isn't aerated long enough. Anaerobic bacteria puts out methane gas(bad) and/or alcohol(stunts) wastes into the root environment. Anaerobic bact doesn't kill pathogens(bad) and breaks dwn matter at much slower pace than the aerobic herd thus starving the plant of N. Good soil is rich in aerobic bact not nutrients.

  • Awesome video, Thanks for posting.

  • You have some good information in the videos here. However, a study was done that found that e.coli does not form if you let the compost tea sit for a longer period of time. There was more of a risk for compost tea that was made and used within 24 hours than tea that was let to sit for longer. Yes, you may lose some of the beneficial nutrients, but I make mine in large batches by adding it to leaves/dead material and let it sit for two weeks - then move to another container for brewing in air
