This film has deep influence for Japanese artists, too. One of them Ninagawa Mika directed PV of Japanese idol group named AKB48, which is titled "Heavy Rotation". This is a homage to Daisies, I think. If you have an interest, please see AKB48's PV.

@ friendlier -- Not really, I find it inane, insipid and boring. But thanks for the reply, which I found in my inbox. I had forgotten about this completely. I don't know why I even bothered to post that comment. two months ago.

I wish intermedio had not decided to intrude on the image with their logo.

@roundtheblock1 You must be curious about the reasons for the slapstick, no?

It appears to be nothing more than "slapstick," the lowest form of visual comedy. Am I missing something here, or is that really all it is?

very godard-ish.

Original, fresca, ingenuamente divertida... La esencia de los años 60 se plasma en esta película en efectos de colores y un montaje muy imaginativo. Un bonito homenaje a la libertad de acciones a las que es imposible buscarle una razón determinada.
Este cine hizo una marca a nivel mundial

It's set to the backdrop of the Prague Spring of 1967, and hails the beginning of the Czech New Wave of film. It basically follow the two sisters, Jarmila and Julie; they consort with a number of sugar-daddies, destroy a supper for communist party officials, and eventually dismember one another and their environment with scissors and such... it's an incredible experience, and I highly recommend it, though it's tough to get the DVD if you don't want it Region 1. Peace, chap.
