  • is this somewhat related to online database storage?

  • Nope, it's more about uploading content to index in search.

You may want to check out Google App Engine for application hosting and datastore.

  • Thank you for this Video Introduction to Google Base Data API.

  • I'm sure that this is another great tool from google but unfortunately as a lay person I don't understand what the application is. That's not to say I might not be interested in the application - as with many people that work online, if it's useful I will teach myself how to use it. I run my own ecommerce site and work as a digital marketeer but with one view of this video I'm none the wiser... In English please, what is Google Base for? Example uses?

  • How could I then output that data to say, an Android app?

  • @H0D0NKAIN Well I guess you could "Google it".

  • I goto to college to learn all about Google Base. I know nothing about uploading products to Google Base and don't know how to do it. :-(

  • sweet 10 comments at ''google developers video'' :D

  • It stands for "Application Programmer's Interface" but really there isn't much reason to know that.

  • too much saliva

  • Google has a lot of good products like 'Google Sketchup' and a variety of other applications.

I eventually started to learn about databases and figured, yeah, Google might have one... which lead me here.

The word API keeps coming up and I simply wanted to know.
