This exercise will help improve the mobility, stability and strength for shoulder and hip rotational separation. This separation is important in all sports, particularly swing sports. Most traditional exercises only work muscles in the sagittal (front to back) and coronal (side to side) planes. This causes poor separation of the shoulders, hips and pelvis during rotational movements which inhibits performance in sport.
