  • Hello :) I was wondering what type of note you needed to hand in? I have a note from my therapist to hand into my college but I don't exactly know where I'm supposed to give it in and I don't know if I need more documents? I star this week and I'm so nervous! I've been having panic attacks just thinking about it :/

  • @karla797 i turned in a letter from my pyschologist and filled out the standard paper work that my university requires all disability students to fill out. check if your school has a disability support services office, that's where i turned mine in. at your school it may be under a different name though since not every university calls it the same thing, so if there's not an office under a name like that just call your school's main line and ask where to go or ask/email your advisor. :)

  • College doesn't seem that bad. Once you're past the immature little snots in high school everything's smooth sailing. People in college are more mature and work oriented. In high school it seems as though they'll rip you apart like paranas if you even look at someone in an off manner. XD

  • @TheSnowyice lol sooo true!!

  • I cant even believe I got through high school. Everyday of my life there I would think about quitting and running away. So sad indeed

  • Unfortunately my sister and some of her friends work at the fucking university im going to so i dont think i get the luxury of handing in a note dismissing me from speeches etc beacuse of my sa like you lucky people

  • @breezyboo07 Thanks so much :) I went and yup I had to fill out some paper work and turn in the note :)

  • @laurelisavantgarde Thanks! Same to you! :)

  • @breezyboo07 Ah yes, I've had several classes where we activities that involve speaking amongst classmates or in front of them. For me, it has gotten better with practice, but I still dread presentations and raising my hand in class. I don't really agree with professors calling on students. I think it should be more voluntary. I guess the best thing to do is to just take everything one day at a time...as cliche as it sounds. Best wishes with everything!

  • @laurelisavantgarde Overall I like it, so far the people I've met have been pretty nice and there's some pretty cool student organizations I'd like to get involved with sometime. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the fact that one of the classes involves a lot communication activities and in another that one teacher who I thought had agreed not to call on me had me speak in class again. So far, it hasn't been a huge deal but I'd hate to have it happen if a bad anxiety day comes up.

  • @breezyboo07 It was alright. :) The first days are usually shorter, so it's a good start I guess. How are you liking school so far?

  • @laurelisavantgarde how'd it go? :)

  • Today is my first day :O

  • @AmandasVlog Thanks! Good luck with college, I look forward to any videos you make about it :)

  • @mavs2147 Thanks! And thanks for sharing :)

  • @breezyboo07 I honestly just had to force myself to do it. I had to train myself by saying it would be over very fast and nobody would even remember it afterward. I did have another for gov. assignment where I had to talk in front of like 30 people chickened out because it wouldn't affect my grade by much (got an A). I'd say that you should try your best to get through it, you seem like a brave person just by making your vids. I totally understand what your going through, though. Good luck :)

  • Thanks so much for this video...I'm gonna be starting college this year too! Great video like always! :)

  • @mavs2147 I have group things and presentations that I'll be coming later in the semester, I'm not quite sure how I'll handle those if my disability requests don't get me out of having to do them. How did you get through things like presentations and group work?

  • Hey, Breezy. Good to hear you had a good first day. Hopefully your anxiety gets better through out the year. My first semester was ok. It was just depressing being alone. The worst things for me was working in groups and having to talk in front of the classroom for a presentation in English. Well, thanks for sharing your experience with us.
