Carnival Fascination Cruise - March 19, 2011 Part 1

We took a 5 day cruise on the Carnival Fascination. The ship left from JAXPORT in Jacksonville, FL on March 19, 2011. The original itinerary was to go to Half Moon Cay and then to Nassau. Due to rough seas, we weren't able to get off the ship and safely tender in to Half Moon Cay. Instead we went on to Nassau as planned and then the captain took us to Freeport for half a day on the way back to Jacksonville!

This is a total trip. We were on this same cruise last year and watching this video, my family and I are seen walking off the ship into Nassau Port at minute 6:21. What are the odds?

I've been on this cruise ship twice! Its so much fun!! When you go to nassau go to Atlantis!!! Well worth the money even though it's kinda steep in price

@jobrofan123 I enjoyed this trip, but I dont like the ships in this class. they are small and old.  I prefer the newer, larger ships! The Carnival Glory was awesome, and I have high hopes that the Dream is going to be amazing (if we get to go on that cruise).

@boyscouts83712 I dont remember seeing a basketball court. We boarded the ship around 12PM the ship left the port at 4PM. Its a pretty long line if you're not a VIP. We try to always get to the terminal as early as possible so we arent at the end of the line!

Is the basketball court still on the ship? What time did you board the ship, I have to leave right from school and was wondering how long is the wait to get on the ship?

How was the weather down in the bahama's when you got there?

@boyscouts83712 we didnt try the seaside theater. We actually didnt do any excursions, we just got off the ship and explored on our own. I'm not sure what a picture window is. I think its a window without an ocean view (deck). We had a fake window with curtains in our inside cabin. I dont really think its worth getting off the ship in freeport. We weren't supposed to go there, we had to because the weather was too bad to go to half moon cay. Shopping and beach at port lucaya in freeport.

Did you try the seaside theater, and what excursions did you do? What does picture window mean? What deck was your cabin? Is it worth it to get off the ship in freeport and what there actually to do?
