I love your ideas!
I would make the entire roof on that solar panels and/or a water heat panel.
-
@NiTheGod U would have to put them up there before the floor is finished or make the opening for the staircase large enough that u can use a pulley and strap system.
-
how do you move bed and stuff to upstairs with the spiral stairs?
-

@chillichomper
Where ever you want them. This is just a concept plan to be adapted as you need.

Hi, I was just wondering, are you the one who wrote the book "Off The grid" and if so, is this design included in it? And how did you estimate the costs to be 5000? that seems quite cheap to me

@LawnGeeks
I am LaMar that wrote :Off the Grid". No this is just a concept plan not included in the book. The cost estimate is for materials based on what I spent to build my cabin.

A frame homes are the hardest to keep cool, they are beautiful but the design is flawed and allows massive amounts of heat the radiate into the home from the massive roof/walls, your living area essentially becomes an attic.

No harder to cool than most homes and passive air turbines will allow any extra heat to escape.
Attics in homes are a waste of space and money.
