Pehla Nasha (First Love) - Piano Tutorial

First of all, I'd like to thank you all for your kind support and love for my pianowork. I greatly appreciate the hundreds of comments and emails (many of which I am sorry to say haven't found the time to reply to, but will...).

As a small gesture of my gratefulness to you all, I present here a piano tutorial of Pehla Nasha that many many of you have requested ever since I posted my version:

One of the most beautiful and romantic bollywood compositions ever, Pehla Nasha has captured the hearts and minds of millions. Here, I cover the basics of how to coordinate the left and right hand to play this song. For the inexperienced, it might be a bit challenging to play at first, but all hard work you put into it will be worth it in the end...for you and whoever you intend to play it for :)

You might have to repeatedly watch the tutorial, or pause in between to learn it well. Soon, you will be able to develop your own style of playing it, while sticking to the core structure and beat.

Others have posted good tutorials on how to play the right hand. Here, I try to play both hands slowly to illustrate how the left hand pattern can serve as a "skeleton" on which you can layer the melody. I chose not to present the whole song as it would be too lengthy. I might plan to design and tape more comprehensive tutorials in the future...when I can find more time :)
