Paypal/Ebay is a scam. They removed hundreds of dollars from my checking account, said they had no record of it. My bank traced it to their Wells Fargo in Singapore and Paypal would not investigate it, even with a ACH trace number. They kept my money. You cannot talk to anyone who makes decisions, only tier 1 in India who could see the transaction but did not have the "tools" to do anything about it. Once it got "escalated" to morons who have not graduated 3rd grade, no one could see the trans.

@TinyTracey That's why I do not agree with using a full name on Facebook. I never use mine.

@beckit4 Yes, eBay owns PayPal, Kijiji, Skype, Gumtree and owns about 25% of Craiglist as well as, so you all better watch your backs when you use those sites and/or services...
a scammer can see your profile on facebook and see your full name and ut that on a fake paypal email

yes,I joined facebook and forgot that my profile was public revealing my full name and email address, almost straight away I got a fake paypal email which said Dear with my full name,it said payment was sent for an item, and to click a link if I did not authorise the payment, the link asked for credit card details to confrm my identity....the item number I checked on ebay,it had ended 6 months ago.The email header showed a Gmail origin.

Sorry to hear that TinyTracey There is a boom of fake emails from banks at the moment like from Abbey Nat saying your online banking has been suspended and to click and confirm your info, these kind of emails seem to never end, I used to us my Internet name all the time, but started using my real name over time, I wish I keep ed to my own rules and only ever used my Internet name Lazerbri, this way you limit the info about your off line life.
