Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Opening Crawl Done Right

So...the opening text crawl of The Force Unleashed sucks. It's horrible. The game was made by LucasArts. ILM is literally down the hall yet it seems that nobody at The Skywalker Ranch had the foresight to talk to John Knoll, the guy who did the opening crawls for the prequels, and find out how it's done.

So what I've done is I've taken the opening cinematic and replaced both the crawl and "A long time ago..."

What's different? Well the opening message is a lighter shade of blue. The crawl itself is pretty much the same as the game, at least in terms of word positioning. The colour of the crawl is more vibrant and the words "GALACTIC EMPIRE" have been de-capitalized as "DARTH VADER" is capitalized later on in the crawl. Now normally the capitalized words are objects or a collective.

ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC - In Episode 2
DEATH STAR - In Episode 4
GALACTIC EMPIRE - In Episode 6

But I decided to maintain the capitals on DARTH VADER because he is the menace of the game alongside the Emperor.

Other changes include the font size. The text on the original crawl is tiny and not like the movies at all. I've changed that to reflect the crawls from the movies. Also I've adjusted the timing slightly. Everything apart from the starfield and everything from the pan down onwards was created by me from scratch.

In closing, LucasArts, get John Knoll on board to do the crawl of TFU 2 or someone who knows what their doing. Heck I'll do it.

The first time I saw the original opening crawl of The Force Unleased, I knew something was wrong with it, yours is downright perfect, great job my friend.

@mitrooper The crawl for the sequel isn't great either. The text is still too small and too many words are in capitals. I thought about doing new version of the TFU2 crawl but the game is so bad I want to pretend it never happened :P
