I've had PTSD for 40 years. My sense of humor and friends with PTSD kept me alive. I'm an RN. I've cared for vets with PTSD and facilitated support groups. It often goes undiagnosed for decades in women. Many "professionals" don't want it studied. It's a dirty government secret, like war. We're lab rats. We die young, from drugs, alcohol, cancer. My friends are. One killed herself last year, a brilliant activist. Another government stat.

@UniformedKnowledge People talking about giving detailed explanations of their "PTSD" over youtube comments etc. About how this song "broke them out of their shell" etc. I catch a douchebag vibe from most of these comments. I've known people with legitimate PTSD and I've known about as many that take advantage of broad spectrum of ways to claim something.
