This is David Gilmour playing Marooned at The 50th Anniversary Fender Stratocaster. This song is fucking amazing. The sound is just incredible. Gilmour sure knows how to write music!

  • @MrZombieIsHungry I totally agree. All the scales and technical ability in the world doesn't really mean anything. To me, the best guitarists are the ones that can play just a few notes, yet know how to make those notes sing to the soul.

  • how can you not love gilmore touch feel deepness the pinacle of true expression in movement using what is needed hacking aways to make his masterpieces .no doubt

  • Supreme!

  • David Gilmour is my Jesus Christ

  • Edge is good, he's a decent songwriter and knows how to employ some bad ass special effects, but he ain't got shit on who was primary inspiration: Gilmour

  • one of David Gilmour's best performances

  • @ClyderSkyner Heh, that's true :-)

  • @TomaszFilipiec Well, he use the little finger sometimes (for chords), but when he's soloing he rarely uses that finger (as for other players, they used it extensively). Eric Clapton is another three finger player. I don't mean them to being lacking skill or something like that, they're fantastic players.

  • Sigh.. Thanks daddy.. Thanks :')
