In conjunction with National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, the Bay Area Council on Drugs and Alcohol (BACODA) set up a Healing Field® at San Jacinto College South in which individuals under 21 who lost their lives due to alcohol-related accidents were remembered.

The mini Healing Field® site at the San Jacinto South campus has 238 American flags posted outside the student center, which represent each person under 21 years old whose life was taken due to the consequences of drinking and driving. The field wason display October 18-22, 2010. BACODA displayed its 3rd Annual Healing Field®, One Flag -- One Life, November 6-11 at Walter Hall Park in League City. There were 1,551 flags flown in honor of the lives taken in fatal motor accidents in 2009.
