"Merrily Kiss the Quakers Wife," an Irish jig, played on 3 Gold Tone 4-String Cello Banjos (CEB-4), tuned in three different tonal ranges: GDAE Irish Tenor/Octave Mandolin; GDAE Double Octave; and CGDA Cello Tuning.

The versatility of tunings for the Gold Tone CEB-4 Cello Banjo make it ideally suited for many types of music and a great crossover instrument for string players of all genres. It can be played with a flatpick or fingerstyle. I got the idea of playing fingerstyle from Gordon Johnston, a great Irish tenor banjo player who has developed this technique to an extraordinary level.

Please visit my website http://www.banjocrazy.com/ where I sell Gold Tone banjos. There I have interviews with many banjo players including Marcy Marxer (for whom the CEB-4 is named), Adam Hurt, Gordon Johnston, Bob Carlin, Cathy Fink, Mike Keyes, Mary Z. Cox, Cathy Moore, The Old 78's and others.

http://www.banjocrazy.com/ also offers a growing collection of free tabs and music notation. From the website you can email me your comments, questions, requests and suggestion. I'd love to hear from you.

Regards,
PauL
