Not unlock the iphone, but you have to have a two year contract with At&T. what do dyou do? Yeah, you have to configure your iphone 3g in the store

If you are going to buy it from at&t or apple there is no reason to unlock unless you pay the full price of $599 to buy the device without a contract.
Otherwise, you get the device and then jailbrake it.

i really need to know how to jailbrake an iphone. Im going to get an iphone 3G and kinda need a step by step instruction on how to jailbrake it. My problem is, Dont you have to unlock the phone in the At&T store anyway?? wtf/?? How??

In the AT&T store you don't unlock the device. Unlocking means to use the device on any carrier not just at&t.
To jailbrake your phone, just go to my profile and search for the video entitled "how to hack your iphone 3g" and you should be all set.

Should I sell my N95 for an iPhone 3G? I dunno if I should, I'd have to change provider and that can be a rocky transition
