Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) delivers the weekly Republican address on the Democrats' health care reform bill and urges Americans to contact their Senators to "to stop Congress from making this terrible mistake."

Sen. McCain says, Millions of Americans are very worried that whatever bill emerges from the confused and secretive process Democrats used to cobble this legislation together will ultimately do more harm than good. And, they have every right to be."

He notes, "The best thing government could do to ensure more Americans have access to health care insurance is to institute reforms that would rein in costs and make health care more affordable for more Americans. Regrettably, theres nothing in this legislation that effectively addresses the problem of health care hyperinflation in fact, experts tells us the Democrat legislation makes matters worse."

"The result" of passing the Democrats' bill, Sen. McCain says, "will be a health care system that costs more and still leaves millions without coverage. The hour is late, but theres still time to stop Congress from making this terrible mistake. Contact your Senators and Representatives today, and urge them and the White House not to make our health care problems worse, but to start working with committed members of both parties to make the best quality health care in the world more affordable and accessible to the people who elected us."

  • What the Democrats are doing with these reforms is along the same lines as writing a bad check to make a donation. Sure, your intentions might be good, but when it comes time to cash the check...

The best way to help costs A) give doctors a little more protection from frivolous lawsuits and B) allow foreign prescription drugs.

Let's start with that before we obligate ourselves to another indefinite tax burden.

  • Barack has been a disappointment for me, but he's still so much better than McCain would've been.

THIS MAN IS FOREVER A FAILURE ROFL.

    fails to BUSH AND OBAMA.

LOOK AT HIS INSANE FACE AND WAY HE SPEAKS, HE HAS NOTHING TO LOSE, HE IS JUST GOING TO LYNCH AS A SENATOR TILL THE DAY HE DIES.

  • Barack Obama, according to Republicans, is the worst and most divisive person in history.

John McCain lost against him, so either we must all be really ignorant, or John must be really corrupt.

  • I like that people call him stuff but don't say why. Just that they don't like him. Because they are like sheep. They follow were they are told to go. If you don't like him or what he's saying say why. He wasn't my first choice, but I would rather have him then Obama, Socialized Heath Care, open boarders, major gun control, unnecessary taxes and many other things are why Obama is bad.

  • fuck you pig..lair

  • John McCain is a fag

  • if you took a basic economics class you would understand that what you said makes no sense. its called the cycle of poverty.

  • So you can read off a teleprompter. Good job McCain. Now go run along an spread your bull shit some where else >.> Im sick of both sides, republicans and democrats. Both lie to get people to agree with their views.

  • I really enjoyed that. Thats very nice, very funny. My friend you are a liar and a thief.

  • yeah well you would not be poor if you worked! And saved! But my tax dollars go to those who do not. I won't even see a dime of my SS because I save for my own retirement. I am in my 20's and make 20, grand. If I can do it so can everyone else. Health insurance is not expensive. Anyone that is not able to pay, I will look over your numbers and help you find a way. Funny how no one wants to cut out cable or get a cheaper car to be able to afford it.

  • Yeah, don't judge. I happen to be a pagan conservative (libertarian) who also wants to legalize pot. You just make your self sound ignorant, slinging around names does not prove your point. Even the left hates this idea, or what it has now become. Oh well you will see. All parties are wrong. The dems just happen to be more evil right now. The two party system is the down fall of us all.
