Opening night is May 16th at 8pm. I hope to be personally covering it. The cast is working very hard.

hi. I'm an English teacher in France. I've shown the "Eastern Oregon High School Play Banned" video to my students, as an example of the dangers of censorship. That video was very good btw, very professional, great job ! Now I'm going to show them this video as well, and I wanted to know when that board meeting took place : was it prior to the other video's footage or was it after ? Thanks a lot

The board meeting was after the origional cancellation video. Wet tried to fight the decision made by the superintendent, but the board did not agree with us. Now the play is being held at Eastern Oregon University, just down the street from the high school, and is being sponsored by the play's writer, the one and only Steve Martin. I am glad that our videos are useful to you in teaching censorship in schools. It's something we will continue to fight in the future. thanks for the support!

good job producing this video! Looks like it was handled relatively well--though I think I would have voted to let the play go on.

Interestingly, the end result is at least one more person is now aware of the play--got it on hold from my library.

La Grande is a very conservative town, YES. But, one thing that you need to get through your thick skull is that there is a BIG difference between political conservative and religious conservative. I want this show to go on! Im in it! So you go to all the websites and your little stupid-ass blogs. But you know what you should be doing? Something more constructive like actually trying to keep these schools open!

The parents who wanted this play banned from school grounds.... are the worst form of Americans there are, and the worst form of "christians" there are.  They are nothing but control freak predators who feel that domination is the solution to all problems. They are pathetic.

I wish I could comment about this play but have not read it. Too bad others don't hold themselves to that same standard. I have to laugh---what do you think these students hear in the hallways on an average day?
