Footage of a recent Grey nurse shark rescue at South Solitary Island, Coffs Harbour. A 2.5 metre female with a double wrap of 15mm silver rope lodged around its tail was at risk from infection and ulceration. The entanglement was removed with a custom knife designed for whale rescues fixed to a 3 metre fibreglass pole. Many thanks to Mike Davey of Jetty Dive and Steve Dalton for their invaluable assistance..

  • Awesome!! There will be good karma going your way!!

More people need to be nice to sharks, many are becoming rare now, and the ocean needs them!

  • Great work! Most people do not know that sharks are crucial to the survival of humans on this planet!

  • Well done guys, this shark might have otherwise not survived. I would think now she has a pretty good chance. Cheers, Tim from underwater-com-au
