pokemon Glitches - How to catch no.151 MEW! (Yellow used in tut, but works identicaly in red/blue)

PLEASE READ TUTORIAL BELOW

Requirements
~ You must not have fought the trainer on the patch of grass to the left of the bridge
~ You must not have fought the "Slowpoke Trainer" on the way to Bill's house
~ You must have an abra (or another pokemon with teleport... abra is easiest at this stage in the game)
~ The ability to give mew a status alignment (some will "not affect" mew, so you may need to experiment)
~ Pokeballs!

Tutorial
1) Catch an abra (or another pokemon with teleport)
2) stand one step out of view of the man to the left of the cerulean bridge ans SAVE! (this may take a few tries)
3) step down into his view and VERY QUICKLY press start. (if a battle starts, start over)
4) on the start menu, go to pokemon / abra, and teleport
5) you will be teleported outside of the cerulean pokemon center (note, the start button will be disabled)
6) now walk over to the slowpoke trainer and make sure that you make him walk to you for the battle! (if he stays still the game will freeze)
7) win the battle
8) after the battle use abra to teleport again
9) you will now be outside the pokemon center again (start button working again), now walk over to the bridge once again. once on the bridge the game will pause by itself, once un-paused you will be in a fight with mew!
10) make sure you give him a status alignment or the balls will miss, but other than that he's very easy to catch. GOOD LUCK!!!
