A strong Murray-Darling Basin Plan will restore our most important river system, and put the region's economy on to a genuinely sustainable footing.
Community members within the Basin - who depend on the river for their livelihoods - understand all to well the desperate state of the river. It's motivated some of them to travel to Parliament House in Canberra to deliver an important message to our politicians.
can anyone tell me why water will be taken from the wetlands of the irrigation with it smillions of wildlife dependent on it, and flush it out to sea ??????????????

Howley: Would better management of Environmental water solve the problem? Create artificial flood events with that water? How about tying in releases with supplementary water? What about using parts of Supplementary water?

Yes nice video - brings real people who are also farmers, irrigators etc with calm voices, that's positive. Be good to get some figures in their as well. Well filmed as well like the shots of walking the corridors and finishing with the walking past the flagpoles.
