How to build a fountain part 3 of 4

This is part 3 of 4.

****NOTE: in this clip we enlisted the help of a lawn care guy that happened to be next door mowing. He was able to help us move the 600 lbs top into place. That portion is choppy since the role is filming was not as important as the role of helping align the top to fall into the base.*****

The idea of the fountain was taken from stoneforest.com and was recreated here. We used a kiddy pool filled with concrete to make the top and we used 12 inches of the bottom of a trash can for the base. The wood used is all pressure treated wood we purchased at Lowe's. The expanded metal was found locally from a metal shop. The pool liner and pump came from Lowe's. The black Mexican beach pebbles are found locally from a stone wholesaler. The marbles were found at Joanns.

The price break down was as follows (I am not including the cost of items that we are able to reuse, such as the trash can, tools, etc):

Kiddie Pool: $10
Expanded metal: $270
Pool Liner: $30
Pump: $50
Rocks: $275
Marbles: $85
Nails: $20
Tubing: $15
Thin Set: $15

TOTAL COST: $1100

If you include the 60 man hours put into the project at $10 dollars an hour, you have another $600 in labor.

great project! but you have to do something with the color.the minimalist look was better.to make look miami youll need some neon lights on the bottom at night.
