@thesaintofelsewhere They may be DIY recordings but Sage recorded like that for a reason. So much tone is lost in modern recording techniques.

Love the Wipers sound. You gotta consider the state of technology at this time and that these are "basically" home recordings.

The only problem I have with the Wipers is that Sage didn't really make enogh room for the other instruments. The bass and drums could be more noticable.
