GuyGirlReviews: Wiezen Bam - Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales

So, it has taken me quite a while, over a month in fact, to post this video. I lost my internet connection at the apartment, so my internet ventures have been slow going and less often than before. Never the less, here's our last video before Greg left for basic training.

Jolly Pumpkin, one of our favorite brewery's, put out a tasty summer beverage - their take on a classic wheat beer. They put it out as part of their "Bam" line. If anyone outside of the greater Michigan area gets a hold of beer from this brewery, it's probably beer from this line. I'll be relying heavily on the video and my RB rating for description and such of this beer - because I haven't had it since (not that I wouldn't enjoy having it again).

Here's my RB rating, unfortunately Greg did not put one up, so this is pretty much my opinion only.

This beer pours an almost greenish yellow color. It was very cloudy, and had a big fluffy white head. The aroma is not like any of the Jolly Pumpkin beers weve had before. Actually, this is one of the first beers that I have gotten a real banana aroma...Usually Belgians are more typical of this aroma, but Its all here in this beer.

It almost seems like Jolly did more with this beer to make it less Jolly, and more "Wheat Beer"...I mean, Jolly typically does their beer in their own signature way, and this beer seems more like what you would typically get from a German Hefeweizen...at least with aroma :)

Now taste, thats a different story. Typical Jolly Pumpkin all the way. Highly carbonated, sour, clove, and it has a creamy mouthfeel.

For those who are interested, Greg is faring well with all of those military types in South Carolina. He is due to graduate from basic training on the 5th of November. I'll be driving/flying? down to visit then...and maybe, just maybe there will be a guygirlreview!

ah, I was wondering why you guys havent posted a video in a while. I just got back from a 3-month stint for a navy school in texas. I didnt know greg was going into the army (heh heh Navy has won like the last 8 Army-Navy games in a row heh heh)
