The masses have always wanted the quick fix, the wave of the magic wand that will free them from this world of work, toil and strife forever. How appealing it is to be offered the promise of a perfect system, a way to organize our society that will allow us to live in peace and harmony forever. After all, if such a system were really possible, who wouldn't want to attain it?

  • Utopia? Lets examine that:

Because we get rid of money, will people magically stop falling sick?

Because we get rid of money, will hurricanes magically stop blowing?

-||- , will the earth stop shaking?

-||-, will meteors stop hitting earth?

Get the definition of utopia and answer these questions by youselves!

    Communism? lets examine that too:

Since when did communists have political structure according to what needs humans have?

Since when did communists have abscence of money?

    FAILED TROLL!!!

  • nobody is talking about a "perfect" system. just a better one.

  • I really want to get my hands on that Soviet documentary that starts at 6.24. I see it was on UKTV History. Any idea what the name of it was?

  • basically he is trying to warn us of a society that takes us our freedom ... /watch?v=-CjrZNi49bE&context=C35e09bbADOEgsToPDskJG2_enU5AM3In_8NUUlWIG

  • this guy is nuts

  • @NeutralExistence I agree! The crimp has allways been money!

  • @Beef1188

There has never been pure Marxist Communism used in our world.

  • He basically is just looking to criticize socialism - which he reduces down to technocracy (hello, what about the World Bank/IMF technocrats, among others?) - while leaving humanity no other option than what we have in the present - killing our creative thinking and imagination, leading to more conformity to our social machine. The problem is he doesn't mention nationalism or religion, or the heedless pursuit of money, in his category of utopias. We live within that, though.

  • the difference lies in violence and non-violence revolution. I don't know any violent revolution which didn't end in a massacre. But if u examine the non-violent revolutions, they (always?) change things to the better. Even the history of capitalism shows a "silent" non-violent transformations, which ended in a technically advanced society of today.
