I hope being reminded of your son and the time of his birth is not only a happy memory, but remains one. Thank you for taking the time to write and share with us.

you cannot know the significance of this song. 1957, August. Eddie died and left behind his 35 year old widow. And 2 kids....and grampa. She greived for him in the moonlight and darkness; daylight she was fine. My best to you, Gerry. We miss you in Autumn, like you missed Eddie. Actually, we miss you always.

Someone once said: "Sorrow never leaves us where it found us." that was Mary Baker Eddy and like yourself, she had her sorrows to bear...but she went on and wrote a book that gifted us all with a sure way through all sorrows. You may like to look it up. Thank you for sharing your feelings.

The filmmaker has done a remarkable job of capturing the visual essence of of Eva Cassidy's song, Autumn Leaves. The mood is perfect, the cadence precise, the somber emotions evoked. The resolution allowed on youtube doesn't do it justice but I've seen it on DVD where the quality is breathtaking.

Thank you for your very articulate comments on my work....though I think they are far too generous!
