Sto. Nino is an idol from hell. The Lord Jesus is not like that. He is in heaven glorified and he is inside every believer. Jesus is a spirit. He didnt remained a child. Sto Nino is just a distraction to the real Jesus. When you bow to Sto. Nino your are bowing to a demon not to Christ. Your intention might be right but God has already prescribed in advance to us on how we approach him. Is that we approach him through faith in Christ and in pureness of your hearts. Jesus is Lord.

The Sto. Nino represents the child Jesus. We know na lumaki na sya at naging panginoon natin. We just want to emulate and learn from the characteristics of a child: simplicity, obedience, trust in the father. Is that bad? The statue is just like a picture, a reminder. We do not worship the thing. We do approach Jesus with the pureness of heart, just like a child. God bless you.
