After my feelings were badly hurt one day (Everyone totally dissed a present I got for my dad's 50th birthday, which was a balloon) my aunt told me I should make this video about why balloons are my most favorite thing in the world and how having Aspergers syndrome is the reason. I am fed up with people making fun of me and telling me I'm "too old" to have balloons and I shouldn't have them anymore. Any mean or rude comments will not be submitted. Note, the people in the end credits are just fake names I made up just to be funny (I always do that). I did just about everything myself, including the editing. ALL PICTURES AND VIDEO AND MUSIC USED IN THIS VIDEO BELONG TO THEIR RESPECTFUL OWNERS. I AM NOT SELLING THIS VIDEO FOR PROFIT.

Do you just blow them up and keep them around or pop them after a while? Pretty soon you wouldn 't have any room left in your house if you didn't!

I usually blow them up with helium then when they die I cut them and throw them away. Every now and then I'll blow some up with air and decorate my room with them--then after a month or two I'll cut them. I still have the 16" clear spray I blew up at the beginning.

Wow! you know what? We have something in common! I love Qualatex brand balloons too and they're awesome! I love Qualatex balloons of almost all sizes and shapes especially the 260's long and skinny and 350's long hot doggy airships besides the round ones. Mmmmm. Actually for people like myself who loves balloons are called "balloon fetish or balloon fetishist."  There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I don't care what others think of us. We should be proud of who we are! Right on!

Cool video :) and no you arnt to old. I have AS as well and I still like toys and getting candy for Easter and Halloween ect. Balloons are cool too :) it's fun to let them go up in the air.

It's your right to collect balloons if that's what you enjoy doing regardless of age. It suggests that you have a cheery disposition. I wear cat ears even at college! But perhaps a balloon is not really your dad's ideal birthday present. I can imagine that many Aspies find it difficult to understand that their ideal birthday present might not be so pleasing to the other person - usually people encourage them to treat others the way they would like to be treated.
