  • Your turntable is playing this recording a half step low. It is coming out in A minor instead of B flat minor therefore giving it  a somewhat slower tempo than Pachmann actually played it.

  • Dear Beckmesser2,

    This record was played on 75rpm, not 78rpm. Because it was recorded on 75rpm.

    So, the sound is nearly half step low than on 78rpm, usual playing speed.

  • Pachmann's use of melody-delaying in the middle section is interesting. He only introduces it in the second part!
