Teaching your dog to 'Stay' can be incredibly useful. It's best to learn the 'Sit' command first, as this is effectively an extension of that technique. This lesson will teach you how to give the command and gain your puppy's cooperation too! Let's go!

When you're done here, check out http://MyPuppySchool.ca for more great training tips and fun!

  • never use food to teach them simple obedience training; like sit, stay, and come.. it teaches them that obedience is a bargain. They need to sit because u have established yourself as alpha, otherwise, if there is other stimuli (like playing with another dog) they will not see your reward as being good enough.

  • This is like school for DOGS. What dog wants to go to school. ALL dogs do is sleep, eat, and FART! Still, your dogs R so cute. ARF!!!

  • wow, anyone who uses this video is wasting there time. everyone knows that dogs can only be trained when they drink a special kind of mineral water from the himalayas, which makes them smarter. i dont have a dog, but my uncle does, and he told me that all this stuff about using rewards/repitition is bs, all u have to do is give them the water and they'll do whatever you want, you can get it on ebay.

  • i want that dog

  • @Harleyfats Agree with you.

    Very cute dog too. :)

  • @angustc but then how do i train my dog without treats? cuz it looks kinda easier with treats.

  • i have seen better then this

  • GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • OMG all of them are soooooooooooo freakin cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<3

  • @angustc as someone who does a lot of dog training and works in the field of behaviour modification in people and always use "treats" to begin with, I completely disagree.

Learn how to properly fade out edible reinforcements and you'll find that teaching the dog HOW to learn is easier, faster, and way more efficient.

  • @angustc dogs for over 10 years. Never had that issue and I don't think I ever will. There definitely is a think called excess though, so one should be cautious.
