This is me getting my ear lobe cut and stitched after having it at 1 1/8". After letting it shrink down, the farthest it went down was to 1/2". At the time of the surgery, I was at 5/8".

The procedure began with a lidocaine injection in each ear. The doctor then removed the excess lobe and stitched up the remaining bits to form the ear lobe. I didn't feel a single thing through any of the procedure, but the following day of healing was A little painful (imagine tearing your ears after a fresh stretch, but a little bit worse). The second day wasn't too bad, and so on.

  • Cool. I was at an inch and now back down to 5/8ths. You need to make an "after" vid so i can see how they turned out scar wise but the shape looks great.

  • @kragmarth I definitely will. I'm going to wait a few more weeks so it has some time to heal.

  • How much does it cost?

  • @PurpleDinousaur It cost me $400 with just lidocaine. Obviously it's going to vary from location and geography. I imagine it costs more in New York than it does here in Augusta, Georgia.

  • holy shit thats gross.. did you get any freezing at all?

  • @KayLaPark Freezing? Uhh, doesn't work that way. They don't "freeze" you. They gave me a lidocaine injection directly into the earlobe so I didn't feel a thing.

  • @piercednscarred i meant to say anestesia. like something to numb it lol i was like half asleep when i wrote this. my reconstruction went great! and im very happy with the results. it didn't hurt half as bad as i thought it would which im very thankful for

  • @gingerynah90 You can't possibly do any type of modification without antiseptic...Antiseptic is to clean/prevent infection(soap to alcohol, etc). Professionals(unless MD's) in many states however can't use ANESTHESIA(putting you to sleep, numbing injections, etc). So be sure your friend DOES use antiseptic to clean it before the procedure. haha.

    Goodluck with your reconstruction!

  • I'm about to have this done on me today. Except my 1 1/2 got ripped out at a show so my lobe is already in two pieces. I'm

Going to a piercer friend of mine that can do it. I'm a bit nervous cuz in my state you can't use an antiseptic unless you're a doctor.

  • @jess1541 sorry I misunderstood! I thought you had only to 10. My apology

  • @ovil200 how much do you think it would be in california and could you really feel nothing looks like it hurts

  • @pridepolice I had them stretched to a 00 three years ago and after I took them out, they closed to abit bigger than a 10. They wouldn't close anymore after that.

I've already had it done now and it wasn't any sort of regret. It was just the fact that they were getting irritated all the time because of the excess scar tissue from improper stretching.

  • @jess1541 10G should just shrink back to normal...

  • @ovil200 what is lidocaine and what do you mean just lidocaine?

  • I might be getting this done and I'm wondering, how bad is the bleeding during healing? I'm only getting closed from a 10 guage to nothing (as opposed to 5/8) so I'm guessing that it won't be as major.

  • Why THE FUCK would you tape this?! xD
