u cant put these two weapons against each other lol, well lemme rephrase, you cant get a fair comparison. if you get the ak you get penetration and reliability, and if you've seen 5.56x45mm ballistics youll know what i mean when i say the 5.56 has more stopping power and accuracy. its a fair trade off. accuracy, or reliability? what do you want?

@sssarsss 9mm pistols usually means twice the amount of ammunition, and most study shows that volume of fire is decisive in combat

@Master7770 a handgun is only good to what 30-40m... at that range the .45 carries alot more energy than a 9mm

alright now i know the m16 is a great weapon and that ill be fireing either the SAW or M16 in 2 weeks once i start bootcamp.. but its 50years old.. its time to pass the torch, we went from horses to spaceships in like 100years. idk maybe its because guns mechanics are all the same? thats why we cant improve it without adding scopes/lasers etc?

@Master7770 Well you don't know about ballistics then do ya. A M9 9mm bullet goes at 1200 fps. That means it will go straight through you and you'll still be able to fight. With a 45 ACP it goes at around 960 fps meaning it will tear trough your body and put you down instantly.
