This is exactly what I needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You soooo much. spent hours on this - was basically missing the discard teh bad input part :(!

I just started with Java (for Android), comming from C++/.NET, and find it REALLY annoying that Try Catch are forced on you. Gives really ugly code... :(
