Ron Paul wants the Constitution as it was interpreted before the Civil War. The Civil War determined that the States could not be trusted to protect the civil rights of all citizens and all humans in the U.S.A. The U.S. Supreme Court's Dred Scott decision in 1858 was really the last interpretation of the Constitution along Ron Paul's view. Now, the U.S.A. is a nation which tries to protect all the people in it, and also opposes Hitlers, Stalins and similar tyrants. Paul is a nut!

Ron Paul's major problem is that his intelligence and integrity discredit him amongst the sheeple..He appears a weirdo to some, cos he genuinely care for the country, not just his own self, that's not familiar anymore.. nowadays the casual american is too used to put their trust in crooks destroying America while waving the flag to really grasp the understanding that RP might be the last hope for their country.
