  • Please post one of your songs,I would like to hear it.lol

  • Lol. Perhaps one day. Who knows... ;)

  • They don't even know the language, and lots of listeners don't have sense to distinguish what is gold and what is lead.Only Drammatic tenor voices can sing a great Neapolitan song.period.Sorry don't take it personal.

  • Only dramatic tenors can sing great Neapolitan songs? Give me be a break. Pavarotti isn`t a dramatic tenor, Carreras also. There are a lot of sopranos doing this repertoire, and they make it really good. I do not take it personal, because I am a dramatic tenor. But I think this kind of music can be made by every kind of voices. They are popular songs, are not very high pitch, and not ver low pitch. Are for everyone.

  • Please sing arias that suits your voice.Do not touch the neapolitan repertorio it's not for you.Sorry !

  • You must be out of your mind... LOL

  • What is this? A masterclass in the Neapolitan dialect? Who cares? Dmitri is the greatest baritone since...who? Warren? Ruffo? since a long time, anyway. And if he wants to let loose in a passionate Neapolitan ballad, we are the beneficiaries.

  • Bravo DIMA!!!

  • Auf dieses Video antworten... The world greatest tenor of all times is Enrico Caruso. He changed the art of opera singing from belcanto to canto drammatico. After Carsuo once started, all tenors applied his way of singing.

  • @Cantachepassa

Ti do pienamente raggione, che solo tenori dramatici possono cantare le opere napoletane. Cardillo scrisse Core n'grato per Caruso, che fu il primo tenore col timbro di bariton a cantare queste canzoni con dramma.

  • Wow. Monster of a voice!

  • Nothing against tenors, but nothing beats the richness of a good baritone voice for my taste.

  • I enjoy his Neapolitan songs.

Do I enjoy him here as much as, say, Mario Del Monaco? No. But I think he's much better here than in Verdi. Quite interesting here, actually.

As to comparing him to Warren or Ruffo...totally different. There have certainly been better baritones than Hvorostovsky since Warren and Ruffo, especially in the repertoire those two specialized in. For example, Milnes, Macneil, and Chernov.

  • i'm setisfied wit his voice

  • @Cantachepassa i like all of them

  • complimenti, grande interpretazione. la musica italiana apprezzata, amata e cantata anche in russia.

  • @Cantachepassa You are so right!

  • this is pure indulgent nonsense from hvorostovsky.
