I rode a few Pittsburgh Critical Mass rides 8 years ago. There were few of us. The Pitt Police said we can't do that. We used to meet outside the Student Union building at University Of Pittsburgh. The only bike club banned by Pitt.

I don't understand how taking up 4 lanes of traffic and pissing off people in cars is helping anything at all.
I know I don't want to be a biker doing my daily commute or just riding for fun and get stuck in front of a car who was held up at critical mass.
The whole idea of Critical Mass is to teach bikers and cars to share the road is it not. How in the hell does this do ANYTHING positive???
Don't get me wrong...I fucking hate cars...but this is just irresponsible.

When does this take place?
The last Friday of every month. The biggest one is always the last Friday in June followed by a big party thrown by BikePGH!

I was thinking of beginning to attend these. Just wondering, do you guys do vegan food at your party?

Every ride is different, the cold weather ones I have been to usually kind of just disperse as everyone loses interest or wants to go home. Warm weather ones usually end up at a party of some sort. Lots of vegans in the crowd, and at the big party the last friday of June it is not uncommon for there to be vegan burritos and other fare.
