Goodbye As The World Turns

As The World Turns, which premiered on April 2, 1956 will end its run this Friday, September 17, 2010. This is a quick look at some of the show's long, rich history, the music is the show's theme from 1956-1981. This is a small way of saying goodbye to a show I've watched for 15 years that became a part of my life and the residents of Oakdale, Illinios became a part of my family.

Today is the very last time ATWT is in my country on tv ... i have seen already the final episode last sunday with the one and only Lilly, Holden, Dusty, Katie, Brad and Henry here in The Netherlands at the farewell ATWT event !! It was so great to see them in real life watching together the last show ... I had to crye ... I started watching in the mid 80's when teh old Margo got a baby with Hall after that the new Margo (Ellen Dolan ) appeared

I started watching watchin in the mid 90's too!! The story that got me hooked was Orlena drugging Lily to try to get Luc away from her. (The Carly/Roseanna plot was just icing on the cake). This was a great tribute!

I started watching in the mid 90s too. The story line that really peaked my interest was where Carly had to have a baby by New Year's eve in order to claim a trust fund established by her sister Rosanna.
