In October of 2007, Norman Podhoretz read from his book "World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism" at the Barnes and Noble on 82nd and Broadway. There were protesters outside, and even more inside. Unfortunately, Barnes and Noble security prevented me from filming, so the few clips that you see here were acquired surreptitiously (e.g. most of the time the camera was in my pocket, thus only giving audio).

The room was filled with 9-11 conspiracy theorists, many of whom blamed Mr. Podhorretz for perpetrating the World Trade Center attack! You can even hear one woman calling him a murderer. Generally they were berating him and baiting him, and the reading had to be cut short (the police were there to protect Mr. Podhorretz from a rather angry crowd).

  • if you had just gone around the corner, you would have seen multi-colored paint stains on the 82nd side of b&n store and met a much more interesting person to interview--william woodruff--who is now in the shapiro house, 6th floor--b'tween 9th and 10 aves on 46th st.--

  • The interviewer is a buttwipe.

  • You are almost certainly a right wing liar.

  • do you guys realize that stunts like these hurt your cause?

  • Amazing ignorance from the Left. It's why I left the left.
