looks like you dont get the point. the varyags and slavs lived together and were the beginning of russias history in moscow and novgorod. the kiever rus was more slavic than moscow and poland is more slavic than moscow. the rurikiden are the most famous example. about the turkic speakers, UK had colonies in the whole world, why they still europeans? moscow and novgorod are a little bit different than kiev.

today, russia is more white and nordic than even germany. :P

@harrikelm: Russia has plenty of Turkic speakers too. Does this make Russia a Turkic state? Sweden also has plenty of Finnic speakers - does this make Sweden a Finnic state? And so on and so forth. You know perfectly well why Russia is seen as a Slavic state - don't play ignorant. And the last quote is not placed at all. Point being that you could make an argument that Russia is both Eastern European and Northern European. You could never argue that Russia is a Nordic country however. :/

Russia isnt a complete slavic state. Their History is related with the skandinavian Varyags. So please, dont teach me.
