As a young teen, I took this trip from San Diego, to Santa Ysabel, for breakfast, stopping briefly at the memorial for the Indian firefighters that lost their lives, just up the hill, on to Julian and to Borrego Springs. We stopped back in Julian and took on a whole apple pie. It was Julian's Apple Days. We rode my dad's new pride & joy, his Norton Commando. What memories.
