Modular Casio SK-5 Bent by Oceanus, the Vince Clarke Machine

Following on from the Modular Sk-1, this is a Mega bent SK-5 in a modular design, with a intergrated Speak and Spell called the 'Vince Clarke Machine'.. not endorsed by Vince but totally capable of making erasure'esque sounds!

Over 100 man hours went into putting this beast together and it has many technical bends previously unheard on the SK, such as the spacial distorter the Auto bend ( as on my modular SK-1 but now syncronised to the internal clock signals ) and the ability to re-program the percussion patterns.

Sadly I can't show all the features in the 10 minutes youtube allow, It can also separate and solo any one of the 4 channels, has separate Percussion / Speak outputs, will sync the autobend to the address bus, you can switch of the internal highpass filters etc.

The Intergrated Speak and Spell has it's own LFO and I have a similar one here on youtube.

Just wondering if the sk5 is as good a mod as the sk1? I've just modified a pretty beat up 1 that would no longer sample properly with patchbay and mods based on the reed ghazala book. I have to say that even without sampling capability it's the most interesting thing i've bent so far. There's a nice clean sk5 sat on the side and before i go getting carried away expecting an sk1 with bells on i thought i'd see if you've worked on one before.

Yes I've worked one one before! I built this one in the clip, the Vince clarke machine!!

The SK-5 is much better to bend as you can access the percussion as well as the sounds.
