This video shows an issue with the keys of the Axiom 61. The keys feel sticky with a certain amount of resistance. It's such a bummer that a very good product has such an unacceptable problem! If someone has an idea how to fix that problem in a do it yourself way, please leave a comment! Thanks!

  • this video is fake. if u will notice, the sound is added, it starts earlier than the push thing on the keys ;)

  • @Tatarashvili: NO.., it's NOT... sync-problems with audio and video tracks are common if you work with cheapo gear like I did! You try to discredit me, cause you work for M-Audio, don't you?

the m-audio forum where so many people from around the world pissed off of

this screen shit!!! the only thing what they say for about one year "we are sorry about this problem..try this and try that.. bla bla bla" never m-audio. sl mk2 or mpk49

  • So what to get instead of m-audio axiom?

  • same sh**!

  • I took my Axiom pro 61 appart & took the keybead out, its where the key ends rest on rubber gromits, they must stick to the rubber after a day of non use, I tried a drop of lube in each one which was fine for about a week. then it started again.. maybe fabric w or felt should have been used. I might try a silicon based lube . I'll probly just leave it, had it for over a year now and it dosent rly bother me I just mash all the keys before I start and there fine for a few hours.

  • @shredder370 Yeah, on my Mac Mini I just get this cool infinite rainbow pinwheel/mouse pointer when the system hangs. Much more visually interesting to look at than a boring BSOD, before I hit the power button to cold boot the Mac.

  • made in fucking china

  • And those still using windows XP, cmon people. its 2012 soon, windows XP is from 2001, thats 11 years, your using 11 years old software and complain about errors?

  • This only happens the first time you use it after its been unused, if you press down all the keys once it doesnt happen again until you let it be for a couple days without playing on it, so ist not really an issue.

  • Thats weird? ??

  • that why i spent the extra money and got an akai mpk61

  • i have an axiom 49 and the keys are probably one of the best features. I suggest you do what you did in this video and then your keys will "unsticky " themselves. Maybe having some kind of a cloth above it while its restin` could help too. Dont know why its such a big problem for you that you had to make video about it.

If I had to pick something not to like it would be the rotary encoders and the clicky sound they make. I guess they realized it was a fail so the new axiom`s have better one`s.
