@bradtube1 What level of detail do basemaps have?
-
@goodvanilla I have a 60CSX, Nuvi 500 and Dakota 20. The 500 and 20 both do paperless geocaching which is very important to me because I do most of my geocaching while travelling and just download a ton of caches and with the 60, I have no idea what I'm looking for, but with the other two, you have the description stored right in the unit, which is great. The Dakota's screen sucks compared to the 60 or 500. Battery life of the 500 isn't good - maybe 4 hours? I don't know about the 76.

@bradtube1 The prize is just pride and bragging rights.

@roborovskihamsters The GPS MAP 60CSX (and most Garmin outdoor GPS's) do NOT come with anything but a useless basemap .I bought City Select, but you'd have to buy City Navigator.

I am about to buy a gpsmap 76cx and have heard it is basicly a 60csx inside , so I was wondering what your overall idea of the 60csx was, I can see this video is some years old now and you might eventually have gotten a new gps by now - so in the rearview mirror : was it a good gps for geocaching ? I feel a bit "off-set" towards it still because it is sold as a maritime gps , but anyways - any advice on this is very much appreciated =) thank you in advance

@goodvanilla Oh - also, the 60CSX has the best accuracy of the 3 (I think).
