tears, tears, tears.... Rogers was such a righteous, respectful, warm hearted man. He took time to explain things and didn't hesitate to say: "I love you". Simple things? Not really; nowadays they have become strange, uncomfortable, almost obsolete concepts to many. He is greatly missed, but hopefully is still part of me, and a part of thousands and thousands of lives he touched throughout the years. Merci, Monsieur Rogers!

A little backstory: Jeff Erlanger got to appear on the show when he told his parents it was his one wish before having surgery...afterwards, he stayed in touch w/both Rogers and the prod. company, and when Rogers was inducted into the TV Academy Hall of Fame in 99, Jeff was also invited as a surprise guest, much to the surprise/delight of Rogers. Sadly, while Jeff passed away in 2007 after choking on food, I do like to think that he and his favorite TV host had a happy reunion up there. :-)
