Highlights: Penguins @ Capitals: Game 2 2009 Playoffs

First, give me some credit for having these highlights up as early as I did. It's not easy to go through the clips after a loss like this.

This is what the media wants I'm sure...Crosby and Ovechkin, BOTH with hat tricks. That's pretty outstanding.

But the Pens need some secondary scoring (hint hint Sykora). Crosby has been unreal this series. I've never seen him putting it in the net like he is now. 6 goals in the last 3 games? Ovechkin has been unstoppable too though, so they've both stepped up their games.

This game, in my opinion, comes down to the 3rd period powerplays when it was 2-2. The Pens got a powerplay and did absolutely nothing in the entire two minutes. It looked horrible. I know they got one earlier in the game, but this powerplay just sucked. I sat back in my chair in disgust. Then, as it ends, the Caps get a powerplay. Ovechkin scores in about 3 seconds. That was the difference.

The only thing I can take from this game was that the Pens did not quit. Down by 2 with a minute left, and they score. Never quit, never give up. Even on the play, Crosby had 4 or 5 whacks at the puck, never giving up. That is what the Pens need from EVERYONE in game 3. DO IT!

I spent three hours looking for the full game to rewatch but I settled for this replay. its great, but I really wish i had the full game.

@juzu4me 1.) This is what makes you and other Pens fans look like bandwagoners. Crosby deserves much credit to the cup, but not so much to the "GOOOOOLLLLLDDDD" game. It's Canada, wtf do you expect? He scores an important goal, so what?

2.) Every athlete has a good and bad year. Crosby's had a good year, Ovi's had a bad one. Not to mention Ovechkin played like 25 games through a hand injury.

3.) Non-Soviet Russians can't fight (Soz Russians).

I'm not a particularly huge fan of either team, but I enjoy watching their stars shine. Boy was this game a great one, I still remember it.
