If you want to do fusion and make a Thai inspired dish of your own - that's fine. But call it what it is.

I'm Thai and it's nothing like the thai beef salad. We grill the meat and never fry it. We use fish sauce, thai peppers, sugar, lime, lemongrass, cilantro, thai basil, green onion, toasted grounded rice,, bean sprouts, and ginger. We also slice the meat really thin.
