Singer Divine Brown grew up listening to Joni Mitchell, Chaka Khan and Mariah Carey and performing in musical theatre starting at age 12. But it was at Queen Street Wests Rex Hotel that Divine encountered the old jazz cats that would help her hone the 5-octave voice and improv skills that would soon set her apart. The chart-topping R&B singer takes to the stage of the Rex one more time to show the citys best jazz players what shes learned.
