Vintage Nas in the "Illmatic" era (pre-matic). So many will disagree with what I'm about to say, but I'ma say it anyway... cuz I don't believe I'm wrong. People praise Nas for his early to mid-90s music, but the truth is that he's even illa now. I mean just think about it... he's excelled beyond the grimiest of lyricism... now he's spittin that "Patience" type poeticism on the new "Distant Relatives" album with Damian Marley. In essence, I may be amongst a very few, but Nas is illa than eva.
