Using a GSR machine to gauge the subject's level of hypnotic suggestibility / depth

On this episode of "Hot Topics on Hypnotherapy" Alta Lainez interviews HMI instructor John Melton on the application of the GSR machine. As a form of biofeedback, this device measures changes in galvanic skin response, the level of electrical conductivity of a persons skin, which relates directly to their relative level of anxiety or relaxation. An excellent demonstration of hypnosis and GSR biofeedback. I use the same machine to do autogenic training. Widely available, I got mine from mindgrowth. They're the distributor and sell to hypnotherapists. Good service.

I believe I have this exact model. Mine also came with some earphones so I can listen when I'm using it on myself.

Oooh, I would love a good GSR device. Because I'm very detail oriented, and systems driven, I like to have parameters and guidelines to measure progress within and without variables. A GSR device would really help my sense of confidence that much more because it will actually measure the transition the subject is moving through. I like visual things that show me when things are working, and when thing are not.
