She is just so heartbreaking sweet and endearing in this. I bet if you were a man and Marilyn Monroe looked at you with those big blue eyes it would make your knees weak. How could a woman be so beautiful?

Definitely!!! she was born in 26, my Mom's name is Norma Jean..she was born in 29..very popular name then I suppose.

I honestly don't think I have ever seen MM look more alluring or hotter than in this sketch with Jack Benny. I would bet he didn't think that kissing Marilyn was like "kissing Hitler" as Tony Curtis famously said about THAT scene in Some Like It Hot.

One of Jack's character traits, in addition to his "cheapness", "lousy violin playing" and his supposed age of "39", was that he also considered himself a "ladies' man". That's demonstrated here- but only in a FANTASY could he ever get "that close" to Marilyn Monroe! He later said her performance in this sketch was "wonderful"...
